Torosay Castle

UK»Scotland»Strathclyde»Torosay Castle

Inside Torosay Castle, visitors can wander round the principal rooms, which include the front hall dominated by a collection of red deer stags antlers, the central hall, the dining room, the library with its collection of books, and drawing room. All the rooms contain a wide range of family portraits, memorabilia and antique furniture. The garden's Statue Walk is made up of 19 statues. The formal gardens are a result of the extensive tree planting which is still very much in evidence. In fact, one of the biggest trees, a silver fir, is thought to pre date the castle itself.
