Trentham Monkey Forest: Monkey forest is 60 acres of beautiful woodland and meadows where 140 monkeys live in total freedom. You are plunged into the Barbary macaques fascinating world as you hear rustling in the trees, chattering in a strange language of sounds and mimicry, and chasing one another through the branches.

Monkey Forest now has two adventure playgrounds for the little monkeys in you party.

There is also a picnic area.

How to get here


From the M6:
Exit 15, take the A500 towards Stoke and leave at the exit A34 direction Stone, straight over the roundabout to The Trentham Estate and we are the next roundabout on the right (follow the brown signs).

From the M1:
Exit 23a or 24a and turn onto the A50 to Stoke on Trent follow signs to Trentham on to the A34. Then follow the brown signs to Monkey Forest. The Entrance is located at The Trentham Estate south entrance (roundabout on the A34).


The nearest station is Stoke on Trent. Taxis are outside the station.


From the train station numbers 23, 23A, 24, 25 and X1 to Hanley bus station (6 to 7 min). Hanley Bus station number 101 from stand 28 every 20 minutes takes you outside the entrance of Monkey Forest (stop after Trentham Gardens or the Trentham Estate South entrance)
