Udale Bay: An large area of saltmarsh, mudflat and wet grassland situated on the Cromarty Firth, there is also a hide here as this is a good place to see large numbers of wildfowl and wading birds.

How to get here


Travelling north along the A9 from Inverness, turn right onto the B9169 signed to Culbokie. Continue for approximately 9.5 miles (15 km), going past the remains of St. Michael's church on your left, then round a sharp left bend. Take the next left (B9163) to Cromarty. After approx 0.6 mile (1 km), park in the lay-by on your left. The hide is at the far end of the lay-by.

Bus stop
