Vale Church: This church was originally built as a priory around the year 986AD. This church was built on a site associated with paganism and there is a megalithic dolmen near to the west doors. There is also a large stone here with a large cross and an alpha and omega, this stone is thought to be a monument to a celtic saint or a christianised menhir.
