Wappenbury Wood covers an area of 181 acres, it is a large semi natural ancient woodland which is rich in plants, fungi, butterflies and birds. It has footpaths and a bridleway but unfortunately requests no dogs, and is not open to non trust members on a Saturday or Wednesday. Adjacent to Wappenbury Wood is Old Nun Wood a five acre site which is managed as coppice with standards.
