Weir Wood Reserve

UK»England»Sussex»Weir Wood Reserve

Weir Wood Reserve: The best views of the nature reserve can been seen from the main car park. There is a hide and a feeding station for wild birds, and many footpaths around the area. The narrow strip of land around the reservoir consists of a range of grassland, scrub and woodland habitats. Open grasslands are of tussock grass Deschampsia cespitosa, soft rush Juncus effusus and cocksfoot Dactylis glomerata; stands of bracken Pteridium aquilinum dominate a few small areas. There are several belts of dense hawthorn.
