The Wick Heritage Museum contains a number of fully furnished rooms that are typical of between 1900 and 1925. These rooms contain a vast array of household items, furnishings, from the traditional box bed to authentic Caithness chairs. Also there are displays of 19th century clothing and military uniforms. The Museums photographic gallery displays many examples of Johnston Photographs. The Gallery also displays some fine examples of model boats. The Art Gallery displays a number of paintings, many by local artists, of local places and people.

The Museum also houses a wide range of artefacts, documents and photographs that reveal the rich variety of the Towns civic life. The ceremonial robes of the Provost and Councillors of The Royal Burgh of Wick are displayed, together with photographic records of the events and personalities that significantly shaped the life of the community .
